| 1. | Ensure that you have received the pre-populated data sheet of your ration card from your Authorised retail Dealer. |
| 2. | Installing Kartika font on your system. |
| (i) Windows system :- Download Windows Vista Kartika font from the site and copy to the 'c:/Windows/fonts' folder(for Windows system only). |
| | (ii) Ubuntu Systems :- |
| | 1) Download 'Karthika.ttf' font. |
| | 2) Right click on 'Karthika.ttf' file and click 'install' button to install font. |
| | 3) From the window on the top right corner of the screen, click on the settings button. |
| | 4) Click on the 'System settings' option in dropdown. |
| | 5) Click on 'Text entry' button. |
| | 6) Click on '+' button and choose the language 'Malayalam' button. |
| | 7) Set the keyboard toggle options, press ctrl+space key to toggle English and Malayalam language. |
| | 8) Check on 'custom font' and choose the font installed (ie. Karthika). |
| | 9) Invoke Mozilla browser, on the top right corner button and click on 'Preferences'. |
| | 10) Click on content tab. |
| | 11) Select the font 'Karthika' as default font. |
